Cowboys closes, but new restaurant coming soon

SEBRING -- A sign on the front door of Cowboys BBQ and Steak Co. at 2521 US 27 North says the business has closed permanently.

Co-owners Jim McCoin and Matt Elliot opened Cowboys BBQ and Steak Co. in Sebring in January of 2010.

No reason was posted about why the location closed, but the establishment served its last meal on Saturday.

The original location in Okeechobee is still open, according to a hostess at that location that wished to remain anonymous. She also confirmed the Ft. Pierce and Stuart locations are still serving.

A sign on the door states that "Mug's on 27 will be opening soon" and directs job seekers and vendors to contact mugson27@gmail.com/.
