Trail Association activities for the month
The Heartland Chapter of the Florida Trail Association has a busy month planned for September.
Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 4 and 5, there will be a Trail Improvement at the Avon Park Whillingham Trail where members can come for the day or stay overnight.

Saturday, Sept. 11 will see a Chapter Meeting, Bike Ride and Pot Luck lunch at the Circle B Bar Reserve in the Lakeland area.
Entrance is on the south side of SR 540 (Winter Lake Rd.) between US 98 and Thornhill Rd.
For the ride, bring a bicycle with tires suitable for dirt paths, water and a helmet.
For the Pot Luck, please bring a dish to share, based on last names beginning with A-H, salad, I-Q, main dish, R-Z, desert.

Saturday and Sunday, Sept 18-19, will see another Trail Improvement, overnight or come for the day, on the Arbuckle tract of the Lake Wales Ridge State Forest.

And on Saturday, Sept. 25 there will be a ride on the Ft. Fraser Trail, beginning at the trail head on Hwy. 98 in Highland City.
Bring bicycle, helmet, water and snacks.
Following the ride will be a lunch at the Catfish Country restaurant.
