A Highlands County treasure

Time is flying by and I just couldn't let January pass without sending a sincere "Thank you" to Choir Director David Rinald for his fantastic Messiah performance with his outstanding choir.

After many weeks of hard work and preparation, Handel's Messiah was presented on Dec. 4 at St. James Catholic Church to our community as a holiday treat. With arias by Katherine Smith, Kimberly Milton, Adam Davidson and Daniel Burke and with accompanying organist Richard Wedig, it was absolutely glorious.

I thought wings were sure to unfold.

The church overflowed with a marvelous audience.

David and your Messiah Society Choir, you are surely a Highlands County treasure - an absolute treasure. Stay well, David; we look forward to your return next year. Thank you so much.
